Vasa Idrottssällskap and the other local athletic clubs, City of Vaasa and the Finnish athletic federation have the great pleasure to wish the best Nordic U20 male and female athletes and team leaders welcome to the traditional Nordic U20 Match & Championships.

Technical meeting
The technical meeting will take place in Best Western hotel at 18.15. The bus leaves at 18.00 from Hotel Radisson SAS. The bus leaves back to Hotel Radisson SAS at 19.45.
The meeting is lead by SULs Director of competition Kari Wauhkonen and the meeting language will be English.
Every nation should have at least two persons attended.

Food
Dinner or small evening snack to them that arrives late at Friday evening.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner at Saturday and Sunday
Lunch is served between 11.00 and at a school next to the stadium.
Dinner is served at at a school next to the stadium between 16.30 and 17.30 and on Sunday between 18.00 and 19.30 at Strampen.
Transports
Transport between the airport, the stadium and the hotel will be managed by an event bus.

Arena
The competition is hold at Karlsplan. The arena is opened for inspection and training with start at 13.00. Pre-work to the competition starts at Friday, which means that we can´t guarantee access to the whole training area at all time.
Competition rules
The competition follows the Nordic handbook and IAAF:s rules.
Spikes
Lengths of spikes are according to IAAF’s rules max 9 mm except in high jump and javelin where 12 mm are allowed.
Equipment
Own equipment are allowed after approved weight check. The equipment should be given to the Technical Manager no later than one our before the start of the event.
Numbers
Double numbers are given to all participants. The sponsors on the number should always be visible. The numbers will be handed out at the technical meeting.
Competition dress
The participants should wear the nations official competition dress.
Calling
Calling takes place before every event in the north curve outside the service building. In running events it takes place 30 minutes before the event start, jump and throws 45 minutes before the event start (not polewault), polewault 60 minutes before event start.
Dressing room
Dressing rooms and toilets are in the service building in the north curve on the first floor. Signs with direction will occur.
Warm-up
All warm-ups should take place outside the competition arena. Running straight and jumping place are placed behind the spectators stand on further straight. Warm-up to throws will take place at the trotting track, just outside the athletic arena. No warm-up inside the track are allowed before calling.
Medical
Medical staff will attend in direct connection to the arena.
Start list and drawing
A drawing of National teams are proceeded in postpone by The Finnish athletics federation.
Heatgrouping in runningevents and technicevents are according to this drawing.

Results
Resultlists will be put up after every finished event together with the overall standing in the team match. A notice board for results is placed behind the spectators stand next to the secretariat. The results will also be published on our website www.vis.fi/u20. A complete list to day 1 with the present standing in the team match will be given to the team leaders and published on our webpage after the first day. Complete results will be published at the webpage and distributed to all nations team leaders after finished competition.
